I've had 2 transplants and its been over 3 years and I still have a bald spot, very similar to what I had over 3 years ago.  Could be even worse now!  I've given Bosley every opportunity to make it right and back up Bosley's guarantee.  Bosley has NOT been accountable or responsible or honest about anything.  Bosley has made every effort to lie and deceive!  I've never dealt with a company that was this deceptive and unaccountable.

Everything I've have written is the truth!  I would never recommend Bosley to anyone!  My profile picture is a current picture.  This is what I have after 3 years, 2 surgeries, and over $7,000.00.

The embarrassment and insecurity is the worse thing about this!  I went to Bosley because their ads say they are the best!  They make promises and guarantees that convince you they can help.  BEWARE!!! !

Arrived for my 2nd transplant.  3 people in waiting room.  Everyone but me was called back.  a woman came in, sat down and asked to see my bald area.  She said "that's nothing."  Told me to take mineral oil.  Called back by woman at front desk.  She had my chart.  She read info from my 1st procedure.  i told her that was from my 1st procedure, she then found info from my 6-month check up.  She asked me if 200 grafts was correct.  I told her what mat told me, from a previous phone call, and that was, the doctor would make a final decision when he seen me today.  She took me to a room and shut the door.  mat quickly came in and asked me, what was my question?  As usual, I was confused and told him that I didn't have a question,  the woman at the front desk had a question about how many grafts I would be receiving today.  He left, closed the door, and I waited for almost an hour.  I finally opened the door and mat walked by, he stopped and asked me if she had come back in yet.  I said no.  He left and shut the door.  The woman at the front desk then came back in and asked me, how did I want to pay for the additional work, I said, What additional work?  She said, oh your not having any additional work, just the corrective procedure.  I said yes.  She left and shut the door.  I opened the door and went to get a drink of water, passed her desk, told her I was going to get a drink of water.  When I came back by her, she stopped me and said she would go ahead and finish up my paper work.  She then called back and told someone I was ready.  They came and got me immediately.

Went back to surgery room, sat down in the chair (the very uncomfortable chair) and met the nurse.  Alot of other people came in and kept asking me, what I was having done???  I told them this was a corrective surgery, my 2nd surgery.  They kept asking, how many grafts (over and over),  I told them, I didn't know for sure, that I was told the doctor would decide when he got here.  More people came in and took pictures.  Alot of people right outside the room,  they kept looking in and talking.  I felt very uncomfortable.

Finally, Dr. Lorenz came in and checked me out.  He decided on 600 grafts.  Asked me if that was ok with me.  I said that sounds good to me.  The procedure began!

I feel like Bosley intentionally tried to make me uncomfortable.  I think they tried to make me pay for something they guaranteed would work the first time.  I think Bosley is unprofessional and unaccountable.  They know hair loss is embarrassing and they try to use your insecurities against you, and try and force you to pay for something, you have already paid for by confusing and embarrasing you!!!

After everything I had experienced so far with Bosley,  I felt hopeless.  But I had alot invested in this and had to try and solve my baldness problem.

After talking to mat, a Bosley rep, he kept trying to get me to tell him how many grafts I needed.  I told him many times I didn't know.  Dr. lorenz told me, he would decide on that.  mat would ask me if I wanted this many grafts, or did I want more than this.  Everytime I talked to him I was more confused.  One minute he would say that this was guaranteed,  then he would turn around and ask me did I want to pay for more grafts, trying to convince me that I would have to pay more money for a procedure that he said was guaranteed!  It became very frustrating talking to him about the situation.  I felt like mat, a Bosley rep, was not taking responsibility and Bosley was not keeping its promise and guarantee!  I felted harassed and intimidated.  This would continue!

After the unbeliveable bad experience I had with the woman at the front desk at my 6 month checkup,  I did meet with Dr. Lorenz.  The doctor who performed my transplant.  I told him that I wasn't seeing the results, I thought I would have at this point.  He didn't have much to say other that this process takes time  and I would need to wait longer.  Then He told me that this transplant was Guaranteed.

I would here this from him again and also from mat, a Bosley rep.  And I would feel relieved at that moment, but then you would deal with other members of the office staff, who would treat me very badley.  Extremely rude and unprofessional, and I would think, what is going on?

I believe this was a strategy by Bosley to confuse and intimidate.  Hair loss for me was embarrassing and made me extremely insecure.  Asking for help with this problem was even more embarrassing.  We've seen how Bosley conducts surveys, so I believe they are very much aware of just how insecure and embarrassed hair loss is.  I believe they exploit this in the worst way.  They try to intimidate you, so that you will not hold them accountable for the unrealistic results that Bosley promises and Guarantees!

Received card by mail that it was time for my 6 month check up.  Called the number on the card, spoke to a Bosley rep, and made appointment, 1 month in advance.  I did not request a certain time.  I was given the time of appointment by the Bosley rep.  Bosley called to remind me of  appointment.  I called back and confirmed.

I showed up on time at 1 p.m. at Bosley office, which was the time I was given by a Bosley rep.  Walked up to the front desk and gave the woman at the front desk my name.  She said to me that the doctor takes appointments between 9 - 12.  I was confused and didn't know what to say.  She was extremely rude and made me feel like I should not be there. (I had just driven over 200 miles in Bad weather and thought I was not going to see the doctor).  I asked if the doctor was there and she said - yes, because I have your appoinment on the books, he is going to see you.  I'm even more confused and feel very uncomfortable.  If she had my appointment scheduled and I called a month in advance and was given the appointment date and time by a Bosley rep, then why is she saying all this to me?

She then said to me that I didn't need to be there because it was to early and the doctor would not be able to tell me anything.  She then said, I wish you had talked to me first before you came.  And I said, Yes, so do I.

I can't explain to you how bad and confused I felt at this point.  Total Confusion!  Intimidated!  Upset!  Embarrassed!  From here on I was treated like dirt.  I've never delt with people and a company that was so rude and unprofessional.  I went back home that day with a bald spot and no answers about what to expect in the future.  I truly felt hopeless and very discouraged.  I had this uncomfortable feeling in my gut, like something was really wrong!  Unfortunately, that was the case, something was very wrong!

Arrived at the Bosley Atlanta office for hair first transplant. Checked in at front desk, everthing was good.  Person at front desk was polite and professional.  Was called back quickly and saw Bosley rep, Mat.  Soon Dr. Lorenz came in and introduced himself.  Checked out my bald spot, told me what he was going to do.  Everything was good.  Was taken back to room where transplant would take place.  Nurses came in and started getting me ready.  Everyone was polite and professional!

I don't think Bosley prepares you for the pain.  It is very painful!  I could feel every needle that went into my head.  To go thru this much pain, lets me know just how bad I wanted a full head of hair.  it was intense!

Sat in the chair all day, extremely uncomfortalble.  The most uncomfortable chair I have ever sat in.  I was thinking the entire procedure, why do they not have more comfortable chairs.  Then the needles come and the good news is, you forget about how uncomfortable the chair is for a moment, but this comes back quickly!  The procedure continues.  The pain continues.  The most uncomfortable I have ever been!  But still, I want desperately to have a full head of hair.  I kept telling myself this would be worth it, because Bosley promised and Guaranteed, that my bald spot would be completely filled in.

I left still feeling hopeful about the results because I was guaranteed the my bald spot would be completely filled in.  I believed in Bosley and trusted that they would be responsible and accountalble.

Mat, a Bosley rep, looked at my bald spot and told me that I needed a hair transplant.  He said that a transplant was the only solution, that nothing else would actually grow hair (such as Rogaine).  Like I said earlier, I caught my hair loss early and decided to try and correct the problem.  My profile picture is very similar to how my bald spot looked.  Actually, before I had the transplant, I could brush my hair a certain way and cover up the bald spot.  After surgery, I can not do that now.

Mat told me that If I had a transplant with Bosley that my bald spot would be filled in, in 6 months.  He told me I needed 1000 grafts and it would cost $7,235.00.  He slid the contract to me and I read it.  And before I agreed, I asked him directly,  If I have this transplant with Bosley, will my bald spot be filled in,  in 6 months, and he said Yes.  I believed him,  I believed in Bosley (because of the info I had researched, such as surveys and info on web site and brochure), I signed contract and left feeling good about this, NOT knowing what was in store for down the road!

Met with matt from Bosley.  Met him at another company.  He was using a room there.  He apologized for meeting there (this surprised and confused me a little, the room was a "room" in an office building, seemed okay to me.) He said they were doing some work on his office and that's why we were meeting here at this office.  Looking back, this was the beginning of a deceptive journey, I was about to begin!

Received info about hair transplant from Bosley.  Read everything (twice).  The before and after pictures were amazing. Very impressive results.  I was at the beginning stages of typical male pattern baldness.  Hair loss on top or the crown(I think).  My hair loss had just started and I was already using Toppik(which really works), so nobody even knew I had a problem.  I thought because I had caught it early and was taking action now, that this would be and easy and effective solution(transplant).  So after reading everything I could about Bosley(online and from the info Bosley sent) I decided to call and  make an appointment with Bosley.  The rep from Bosley was super nice on the phone and quickly made an appoinment for me next week.  She wanted to make it that week but I couldn't, and I was surprised at just how fast Bosley wanted to see me.(I have a opinion about this, I will explain later).  Once again the day ended on a positive note, excited and hopeful!

I started searchin online for solutions.  Hair Transplant seemed to be the only permenant solution.  Looked at all companies that specialized in hair transplants and decided to go with Bosley Hair Restoration.  All of Bosley's info online was positive.  Much like the 2010 Survey that came out this year, that says 70% of  patients were satisfied with results.  (Be careful with this, because I know for a fact that Bosley does not deliver on promises and Guarantees.)

Anyway back to my story.  Can't tell you how excited and hopeful I was about the hair transplant with Bosley.  I was extremely embarrased and insecure about the "bald spot".  So I asked Bosley to send info on procedure.  I remember logging off that day feeling relieved and hopeful that I had found a solution to my dreaded problem!

My story begins in my late 30's when I noticed my hair thinning on top.  Started looking for solutions right away.  Used rogain.  Then started taking propecia.  By this time, my hair loss was noticable.  Just a small area, but noticable.  And being noticable was big to me.  May not have been a big deal to anybody else, but it was a big deal to me!  I wish that I wasn't so insecure about this, but I am, damn it!

Toppik is a life saver.  Looks natural.
