» The Science behind Revivogen

Maintaining your hair his not any less important than regrowing it. Even if your main goal is to regrow some hair, its vitally important that you are using a DHT inhibiting product in your regimen as well. DHT inhibitors work to stop the cause of hair loss, and this is a huge portion of seeing success with growth stimulating treatments. Statistics have shown that nearly 43% of our visitors are men between the ages of 20 and 30 who have just begun to lose hair hair. Not coincidentally, it is these same men who have the most active sexual lives, and consider their libido very significant to daily life. For this reason, Propecia may not be an option, as systemic DHT inhibitors can sometimes cause unwanted side effects. This is where Revivogen comes in...

 What is Revivogen?

Potentially one of the most effective unproven products our users have given us feedback on. While this is the case, the proven treatments on the market including Propecia, Minoxidil, and Tricomin should be considered first.

A topically applied DHT inhibitor that contains more scientifically backed ingredients for inhibiting DHT than you can shake a stick at. A typical ValuePak comes with three small scalp therapy bottles and a single Shampoo bottle. The Scalp therapy contains the active ingredients, while the shampoo, according to our users, just does a darn good job of making your hair look thick.

The makers set out to create a solution that contains as many known DHT inhibiting chemicals as possible into one solution. Since no significant amount is absorbed into the bloodstream, there are no side effects, as may be seen with Propecia use.

 Who is this Treatment for?

It is safe for use in both Men and Women, who are experiencing hair loss due to hormonal related issues. It is effective for halting the process of male pattern baldness, and for women who have been diagnosed with some form of androgenetic Alopecia. It is first and foremost a DHT inhibiting product, which means DHT must be the cause of your hair loss in order for this product to be most effective. Most men fit into this category, and some women do as well.

However, due to the fact that it does contain growth stimulating ingredients, it may be effective for all forms of hair loss in some fashion. You may wish to use a stronger growth stimulant along with it, such as Minoxidil or Tricomin.

 What is it used for?

This product is a topical DHT inhibitor, so in men, it is primarily used for the same purpose that Propecia is used: Long term maintenance and cessation of fallout. If you use this product, please set your expectations accordingly. This treatment also has some growth stimulating properties, however it is suggested you use Minoxidil or Tricomin in combination with it, if this is your goal.

 Method of Action

The ingredients used in the Scalp Therapy formula have been proven to inhibit the 5AR enzyme that is responsible for the formation of DHT. Additionally, while Propecia is only able to inhibit type II serum 5AR levels by 70%, the ingredients in Scalp Therapy Formula are able to inhibit both types can equally inhibit both type I and II 5AR up to 98%. Additionally it has another active ingredient which has been proven to prevent DHT's attachment to its receptors on the follicle, providing additional protection. This method of action is what is responsible for its ability to assist in maintaining your hair over long periods of time.

When a man begins to lose his hair, certain genetically programmed follicles begin to develop DHT receptor sites. The DHT attaches itself to these receptor sites and begins to treat the follicle as a foreign object in the body. This chemical change not only affects hair. It can also cause itching, inflammation, and oiliness. During this time, the follicle, under the attack of DHT, begins to miniaturize with every growth cycle, until after several years, it simply is too small and short to be seen.

When the scalp therapy is used, both the formation of DHT and the ability for DHT to attach to receptor sites in the follicle are inhibited. Within a few months, the overall DHT levels will have remained low enough on a constant basis that the adverse effects it was having on the follicles will stop, resulting in a cessation of hair loss.

 What's in it?

The active ingredients of Revivogen™ are natural compounds proven to be potent inhibitors of 5-Alpha-Reductase, the enzyme that produces DHT. These active ingredients include Procyanidin Oligomers, Gamma Linolenic acid (GLA), Alpha Linolenic acid (ALA), Linoleic Acid, Azelaic acid, Vitamin B6, Zinc, and Saw Palmetto Extract. New research has shown that GLA, ALA, Linoleic Acid and Azelaic Acid are the most powerful inhibitors of 5-alpha-reductase, the enzyme that produces DHT. This is the only product that contains GLA, ALA, and Azelaic Acid in one easy to use topical formula. In addition, the combination of these powerful ingredients with Linoleic Acid, Vitamin B6, Zinc Sulfate and Saw Palmetto Extract has resulted in the most potent natural anti-DHT formula available today.

 Side effects

There are no known side effects.

 How to use it

The Scalp Therapies are a topical formula and must be applied at least once a day to the affected area of the scalp and the surrounding areas. You must avoid washing your hair for at least three hours so the active ingredients can effectively get absorbed into your scalp. It can be applied at any time during the day but most people prefer to use it at night before going to bed.

 Hints and Tips

It is important that you set your expectations accordingly with this product. Our consumer trials showed that most people who used it for 6 months or longer saw the greatest results. This is not surprising since this is primarily a DHT inhibitor like Propecia, and though Propecia is the most successful, proven treatment on the market - it still takes upwards of a year to begin working. Hair loss does not happen quickly, and reversing it takes time as well.
