* Hairmax Lasercomb on Dateline NBC
Article by HairlossTalk.com
Industry News December 12, 2004

Popular primetime NBC investigative news show, Dateline TV, aired a compelling look at the painful experience of five men suffering with thin hair. The segment which aired nationally, featured five patients seen by Dr. Alan Bauman of Bauman Medical.

Each man, committed to regaining his own more youthful stature, agreed to try a different course of action to combat their thin hair. The story tracks the successes and failures of each man’s experience with their assigned treatment. The treatments used included: hair transplant surgery, Propecia, the combination of Propecia and Monoxidil, Viviscal and the HairMax LaserComb.

After six months of use the results were independently reviewed by Dr. Paolo Romanelli, a professor with the University of Miami’s Dermatology Department. Dr. Paolo Romanelli was called in to assess the before and after photographs of each participant. Dr. Romanelli was not told which treatment had been used by each participant prior to assessing the photos. Thus, the evaluation of what was effective and what wasn’t remained blinded and unbiased.

Both the objective and subject feedback for the HairMax LaserComb user reconfirm that the HairMax LaserComb delivered positive results to the participant. Referring to LaserComb’s before and after photos, Dr. Romanelli had this to say about the participant: “I think he had some substantial results. I think the results were very encouraging and overall this participant had good results.” As for the HairMax LaserComb user himself, who was pleased with his own results, he reported, “noticing a difference.” He also stated that he has a friend who tried the LaserComb and has also seen a difference, so he correctly, “anticipated his positive results.”

David Michaels, Managing Director of Lexington International, states, “The investigative Dateline segment further validates the legitimacy of our mission which is becoming progressively more widespread and accepted by the skeptics.”
