Some rather adamant users have been announcing that their insurance is covering the medication for them, effectively dropping the cost to them by a significant percentage. Here is one of the users experiences as posted on one of the public forums:


Order Placed:

"I ordered from www.Medicalwellness.com for 50 dollars for a written prescription to be sent to me by snail mail, waited about a day, and called them back to ask if they could call in the prescription to my local pharmacy. They called it in, and I got the confirmation by Email."

Insurance:

"Before I went to pick up my Avodart, I called the Pharmacy to see if everything was ready. They said yes and that I needed to bring in my insurance card. I told them I wasn't sure if it would be covered, but if not, I would just pay full price. He paused for a second and said to give him my Insurance ID from the Insurance Card along with my Address so he could check to see if it would be covered.

I have Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance. A few seconds later he gets back on the phone and says "Jason, you don't have to bring your insurance card in with you Monday - its covered and will cost you $26.00 for 30 capsules. So I go tomorrow afternoon to get it."
