Hi, what is a GREAT DHT blocker? That blocks all the DHT's. I'm a real noob, and I am seeking answers. I ordered some Nizarol Shampoo,

I want to keep my current Hairline, it has unfortuantly receded a little bit.

I'm 18 btw.

Thanks!

Though after being off fin, say if I took it a couple months, and great results, the (new hairs, (small hairs) that I gained, would they jsut thin out again be lost, being off of Fin?

yes...fin is a treatment, not a cure.

Aight, so are they any good alternatives that are just as good as Fin (Minus the side effects)? I heard Fin has abunch of bad side effects, which i'm scared of.

You'll be surprised to know that men do need DHT. It is not possible to block all the DHT in the body, and even if you did there would be detrimental changes to your body and you can kiss your erectile function good bye.

Some hair sites may say that the only function of DHT is to cause hairloss, but they are wrong.

If removing DHT with fin, or removing DHT with a magic natural alternative, if your going to get sides, you will get sides either way. Even though side effects are in only 1% of users.

Indeed - the side effects of Fin likely arise BECAUSE of blocking DHT - if you took some natural herb that "blocked" as much DHT as Fin did, you'd get exactly the same sides.
Saw Palmetto blocks less DHT than Fin, and people report having similar, but less intense side effects on that.

Incidentally, there are two types of the 5ar enzyme that converts T into DHT. Fin only blocks TYPE 1 5ar (which is reputedly only active in the hair follicles), while Dutasteride blocks both Type 1 and Type 2 5ar (type 2 is active elsewhere in the body - in the liver, etc.)

Perhaps, if you're unwilling to take Fin, you could try some topicals? Nizoral, Topical Fin, perhaps Topical Spiro? None of the topical antiandrogens have been proven to work, but I am looking with interest at the experimental boards (there are some people messing about with Dermarollers and topicals, and claiming decent success there) - I am going to wait for some solid proof before I try this stuff myself, though

It might suck, but at the end of the day - No Fin, No hair!
You can slather as much onion juice on your head as you like.

If you can't use Fin (or other 5ar inhibitors), I suggest you find a hat that you like and stop worrying.
