Best lotion/cream for front hairline area?

I'm 23 and have been losing my hair since I was 16-17. Tried a few things over the last few years(most recently minoxidil and propecia, still on the latter), but - I think partly down to stress - I've been losing a lot the last 7 or 8 months, and went to see a surgeon about a transplant. He said I'm too young and don't have a big enough problem to do it yet, and just to carry on taking meds to keep it at bay until I'm about 30. I mentioned what I'd been taking, and seeing I only have a front hairline problem(as well as some thinning in that area), he said minoxidil is largely a waste of time for that and designed to work on the back of the head, so not to bother with it. Other than the propecia obviously, is there anything people would recommend I take? I had quite a bit of success with biofanelan(Le Biosthetique) before, but that was quite expensive, and difficult to apply. Any suggestions appreciated.

    Thanks.

Why not just the best topical for the front hairline area?

Is this leading to where I think it's leading to?

If minox is a total waste of time why did it restored all my tramples? (and I can show you pics to prove it)

Let your hormones (testosterone, free testosterone, DHT) checked. If you don't have any success with minoxidil+finasteride, then you have a bigger problem than ordinary users and you must find out the reason, why you still lose hair.

Thanks for all the feedback. The injections thing sounds interesting, my friend mentioned something about that a while ago but I'd never heard anything else about it. WarLord- I did get such tests done a few years back, before opting to try out different treatments, so I don't think that is the problem. So you'd all say that minoxidil is the best way to go, and not to listen to what that surgeon said about it being ineffective for the front hairline?

I'm thinking that it was likely just caused by stress problems; now the stress isn't so bad, I'm losing a good deal less, and that's taking only propecia.
