On the other hand, don't look so poorly on yourself. I'm sure you have low self esteem, but you must overcome that. If you don't respect yourself, then no one will either. Start a new page in your life. Develop a new persona and walk around confident. Others will take notice.

That sucks your dog died. I lost my cat a couple years ago that I had for 20+ years since I was in high school. It sucks when you get so attached to them and they die.
