Which gel to avoid thin look and concealer for black hair?

    hi guys

I'm getting married in 2 months.

I need to look my best. I'm thinning from the top. However i still can pull off a decentish hair style without looking toooo bad (although there are deffo signs off thinning).

So my questions is which is best Gel etc to use to style hair without making the hair look thin.

And also is a concealer a good idea, or is it very obvious? to hide gaps? which would be best for black hair?

To just conceal thinning and no actual bald spots, dermmatch is great. It just shades your scalp and coats your hair so there is no visible scalp showing through. Fibres are good but if you can get away with dermmatch, then they are n't really worth the worry (coming off, moving about etc.) It (dermmatch) is essentially painting your scalp though so be conservative; just think of it as a hair styling product. As for gel, I prefer wax/ pomade. You can even get fibrous waxes that should make your hair appear a little thicker if anything. Good luck and congratulations on the wedding!

I think most gels make your hair look thinner than it is. Derm or Fibres will work fine on that hair. You're lucky that you'll not need a lot of the fibres but will make a great difference for you, because it's minimal loss

Having no actual bald spot; just thinning, dermmatch would work great alone. It's a lot more durable than fibres so you won't have to worry about it coming off (except in heavy rain)

    thanks soo much...

so how does this 'dermatch' work? is it like just colouring the skin or something?

and also in regards to fibres, are they very fragile or something? do they just fall off easily?

also where is the best place to buy these from?

Dermmatch stays on until wash, true. Bit like a felt tip marker on your head. It's like the undercoat before the fibres.

Fibres actually look like hair though, and they can fall out but only when slept on, for me. The amount of hair you have on your head, fibres won't fall out. Squirt of hairspray on top and you're good to go. Would say Nanogen if you wanted to try them.

Can't tell easily your hair colour, Med Brown?

Yeah, I agree with Esprit. With your hairloss a fiber product would be perfect for you. Just sprinkle some on, put on some hairspray, and you are done.
For the kind of fiber concealer, I think just about any would work well for you. Toppik, Nanogen, Caboki, Hairsoreal, etc. It is just a question of how much you would want to pay.
