    Considering stopping Finasteride

I've been on it for roughly 38 days. The only sides I have noticed thus far have been an occasional twitching around the groin, and an occasional ball ache (i wouldn't call it a pain or even an ache real, but I seem more aware of them occasionally.) I have read the horror stories and part of me really wants to keep my hair, but part of me does not want to take such a gamble... So far my libido seems normal, and am having morning erections, and even an occasional sex dream.

I am currently taking nizoral, rogain foam, and 1.25 mg of fin a day and I am beginning to feel and see the difference in my hair, so i am completely on the fence what to do. You would think they would have more accurate studies on a drug that has been on the market for so long that millions of men use.

My hair was not too bad (obvious signs, but nothing major) when i started rogain the first time (was on for about 6 months). However once i stopped the rogain my hair went to crap in roughly 6 months, which let me to start the current reg.

Does anyone have suggestions from personal experience?

has anyone had success with just niz and rogain?

Yes, I have a suggestion. Since you have nearly no side effects, wait at least a year. Any noticed side effects often go away within a few weeks or months. There are many men that have been on fin for years with no side effects. Since you want to keep your hair it makes no sense to stop now. Don't let yourself get afraid from stories you've heard.

Although it's your choice, if you want to quit, then do so. You might regret it you might not.

part of me has been thinking that. I wish i hadn't read half the stories I have, because now I am over thinking things.

Has anyone else experienced an occasional twitching down there? I havn't noticed it in about a week and a half. I thought i felt it last night, but i am pretty sure it was just my leg

If I do decide to stay on it (i may give it atleast one more week, as i am having trouble making up my mind) I want to lower my dosage. I am currently taking 1.25mg because of the ease of splitting the pill into 4ths. Anyone have any suggestions on how to split the pills differently?

You just said you think you read too much about it. You also said you're over-thinking it. But guess what?... You're still over-thinking it, in my opinion. You have virtually 0 sides, and you haven't even been taking it long enough to see progress. So I have no clue why you're even considering stopping it in a week. You're cluttering your mind with nonsense psychologically so it's no wonder why your mind is telling you that the twitch in your groin is because of the fin.

I think you will benefit if you just stay on it, stop thinking about, stop reading negative things about it and just take it for a year, then analyze your situation. You'd be giving up too fast, which many men do. Don't be one of them or you may regret it.

I've been on fin for 6 months, no side effects, and seeing progress.

Sounds like you've had very very minimal sides..certainly nothing that I would stop taking it for. Simmer down brotha

By the way, you can get generic fin from inhousepharmacy.biz under the hairloss section they sell something called Finpecia which is a 1mg generic made in India. Many people from this board have used this and it is totally legit. I myself ordered Nizoral shampoo from this site a couple times when supply of it went dry at stores in my area. Didn't have a problem with them either time and got my order in a timely manner

Yep, the Finpecia is legit, it's made by Cipla and although they are an Indian pharmaceutical company, the are renowned world wide.

Thanks for the support. I aware that I am over thinking it, but I feel that it is something that is worth overthinking--just incase. The reasoning behind me saying i was considering giving it one more week was because i felt that quitting a drug with the potential to do me real harm BEFORE i saw results would be easier than quitting it after i started seeing real results.

    I got mine from http://24h-genericstore.com/buy-proscar-usa.html
They seem legit, but I've also never tried it until i bought it from here. I saw this site recommended by someone on a forum, not sure if it was here or another place. I decided to buy them from here, due to their security with credit card information and customer support (very helpful in answering questions before i made my purchase). Has anyone else bought from here? Also buying the 30 pills that are 5mg for 42.95$ and splitting them into fourths is a lot cheaper than the other place

    Ideas?

If you're going to buy the 5mg version..go get a perscription for Proscar. Proscar is 5mg fin and you can get it at walmart for $9 according to people on this board

That will be a possibility. I just graduated college and i am in limbo money wise (other than the stuff i saved up from the kraps table) before i start my job.
