Is it possible to have a HT that covers the top of the head and does not look thin on top? any pics would be great

A bad hair transplant can look worse than this pic in my avatar! Beware! (the pic isn't me, BTW)

    My opinion on this:

For some reason there always seems to be a "disconnect" between what HT patients want, and what the HT clinic actually does as far as graft placement.

If the HT patient says "whatever Doc, you're the expert, put the grafts wherever you think is best," they will almost automatically get the majority of the grafts placed in front, as to give a "frontal" look.

HT clinics shun away from puting grafts on the top (vertex and in the crown), because they claim it has "very little cosmetic effect" as compared to putting them all up front.

But, as far as NW4+ HT's and above:

I believe that's nonsense, and I also believe that is one of the reasons why all HT's (done on NW4+ and above) look kinda "fake." For one thing, a "frontal" only looks good from...well, the front.

As soon as a "frontal" HT guy turns his head sideways, there is nothing there, and the hair is see-through, as well as from any other angle in normal lighting conditions.

I totally agree with placing a lot more grafts on top (the vertex) and the crown, than how most HT's are done as primaily being "frontal" IMO, hair densely placed in the vertex that can be grown longer and combed forward, would look good as long as the hair up front is receded evenly (by possibly adding some grafts), and the crown is filled in densely with adequate grafts.

IMO opinion the "frontal" sucks ass.
    Nothing in particular.

Personally I think a bald batch looks much worse than a receding hairline, but that's probably because it's what I'm suffering from! But I suppose bald spots eventually stop whereas hairlines can continue to recede.

I'm hoping to do a bit of work on my crown though. My hairline is fine really, I'd just like a bit of fue to thicken up my crown and make the area a bit smaller. I've definitely seen websites where it is done, but they generally do prefer hairline work.
