crinagen alopecia
Crinagen is a natural DHT inhibitor that can help women with thinning hair reverse their hair loss. Find out why here.

Crinagen Alopecia Women experiencing Androgenetic related hair loss may find quite a bit of benefit in Crinagen. Keep in mind that it is important that you first have a qualified physician determine the cause of your hair loss, if possible. If it has been determined that you are losing your hair due to issues related to androgenic related issues (male or female hormonal issues), this may be the product for you.

Are you experiencing patchy or total hair loss? This treatment is not for you. Please review the Guide to the Alopecia's, here.

What is Crinagen?

Typically with women's hair loss, a growth stimulant is suggested, however even though Crinagen is primarily a DHT inhibiting treatment, it does have growth stimulating ingredients. In order to determine whether a DHT inhibiting treatment is going to be effective for your type of hair loss, you must have established with your physician that you will respond to a treatment whose method of action is to inhibit the formation and binding of the male hormone called DHT.

Crinagen is a completely natural topical scalp preparation. Its natural ingredients perform two basic functions: they decrease the production of a potent male hormone associated with male-pattern hair loss (DHT). Yes, this hormone activity very commonly occurs in women's scalps as well, which can result in hair loss. One of the unique aspects of this treatment is that it does not have just one active ingredient; it has many. These ingredients act together to help block factors that are detrimental to growth.

Who is Crinagen For?

Crinagen is for those seeking a natural alternative to internal antiandrogens often prescribed by doctors, including finasteride or spironolactone. It is for women who have a definitive or assumed diagnosis of Androgenetic Alopecia. This type of hair loss is typically characterized by diffuse thinning of the hair for prolonged periods of time. Crinagen can either be used alone, or with other follicle stimulators such as Rogaine Foam, and (with the permission of your physician only) Antiandrogens like Propecia, Spironolactone, or S5 Cream (topical Spironolactone). Crinagen is compatible with these products. It should be noted that Crinagen should be viewed only as an adjunct treatment to a clinically proven treatment regimen consisting of clinically proven antiandrogens or growth stimulants.

How does Crinagen Work?

DHT damages follicles and causes miniaturization. Your body responds to this injury with by initiating an inflammatory reaction which the immune system controls. This inflammation and hormone reaction eventually destroys the follicle. The best way to stop the progression of thinning hair (Androgenic Alopecia) is to correct the underlying genetic defect that causes it. Unfortunately, gene therapy is not yet possible. The next best solution is to block the formation of dihydrotestosterone (DHT). One of the actions of Crinagen is to block the activity of 5 alpha-reductase and, thereby, its ability to convert testosterone into dihydrotestosterone. In this manner, it reduces the amount of DHT within the scalp. Reducing the amount of DHT reduces its miniaturizing effects on the follicle. It also reduces the amount of injury caused to the follicle and the extent of the immune response targeted to the follicle.

Crinagen is used to stop the cause of hair loss, and result in hair maintenance. If you use Crinagen, please set your expectations accordingly. This treatment also has some growth stimulating properties, however it is suggested you use Rogaine Foam or Tricomin Therapy Spray (or both) in combination with it, if this is your goal.

Crinagen Ingredients

The ingredients are: Distilled water; Polysorbate 20; Azelaic Acid; Zinc acetate hydrate; Niacin; Vitamin B6 (as Pyridoxal-5-phosphate); Saw palmetto extract (serenoa repens); Ginkgo biloba and a mild natural fragrance. The two most powerful ingredients of are Zinc and Saw Palmetto. Both agents have been shown to block the creation of DHT. Since the ingredients are all natural ones, there are no hormonal side effects.

Crinagen Side Effects

There are no known side effects.

Nizoral Shampoo

As with every treatment regimen, Nizoral Shampoo should be used once every three days, religiously, in rotation with a shampoo of your choice. This is very important. Crinagen differs from other topical scalp preparations in that it is sold by itself, without an accompanying shampoo. This means it is much much cheaper than most similar treatment packages out there.
