We are unaware of any studies describing which type of 5AR is inhibited by Azelaic acid.
[Note from HairlossTalk.com - there was a new study done on Revivogen in January 2008 proving the effectiveness of Revivogen as a PRODUCT (not just on the individual ingredients), and that it can effectively inhibit formation of DHT when applied topically. You can see this study by looking on the right sidebar of this page under the "Revivogen Studies" section].
