Upcoming Open Houses and Seminars, and an announcement on a new Transplant Technique
In surgical specialties ranging from orthopedic joint surgery to open heart surgery, minimally invasive surgery has shortened recovery time and lowered the risk of complications. Now, minimally invasive surgery has arrived in hair transplantation. Read about it here, and see a schedule of upcoming seminars and open houses which you can attend in your area....

Physicians at New Hair Institute (NHI) have pioneered a new technique that will help eliminate donor scarring and open up the world of surgical hair restoration to people who previously were not candidates for surgery.

According to the August issue of the Journal of Dermatologic Surgery, the new FOXtm Procedure for hair transplantation can be performed without a raditional surgical incision. Healing time is reduced and the risk of surgical scarring is practically eliminated. The FOXtm technique, also known as FOllicular unit eXtraction, allows patients with small balding areas, limited donor supplies, tight scalps, or low hair density to achieve good results without a scar in the donor area. In addition, the FOXtm technique can be used for procedures that require a very small number of grafts such as augmentation of eyebrows, eyelashes, or the mustache area. This technique is particularly useful for patients who wear their hair closely cropped, actors who must shave their heads, and athletes who can not lose time for recovery and need to be very active within days of the procedure.

The FOXtm procedure involves the direct extraction of the follicular units from the patient's donor area using a small trephine type instrument. Healing is quick, scarring is virtually nonexistent, and discomfort in the donor area has been practically eliminated. The FOXtm procedure provides an important option for those patients who were hesitant or unable to undergo traditional surgery. The article in Dermatologic Surgery discusses the research, methodology and detailed results of Dr. Rassman and Dr. Bernstein. This new procedure is currently available at NHI's Los Angeles, San Jose, Fort Lee, and Manhattan offices.

Interested in Learning More? Attend Upcoming Seminars!

We encourage you to visit one of NHI's upcoming open houses or seminars located throughout the United States.

Seminars are held in convenient locations in major cities across the U.S. Individuals who attend Seminars will be able to consult with an NHI surgeon about their own particular cases and meet some of our previous patients so that they can see their work first-hand. This is a great way to do the necessary research involved before making the decision to go the surgical route, and the proof is in the pudding so meeting previous patients may be all the proof you need.
