Hair Loss FAQ - How to know if a Hair Loss Treatment will work?
Information presented by HairlossTalk.comQ: How do I know if Treatment X is going to Stop my Hair Loss?
The honest answer is simple: If its not in our list, its probably not going to help you treat your hair loss. Why? Because our list comprises the only FDA approved and clinically backed treatments on the market today. We've intentionally left out the other 100-200 products and companies that claim to have treatments for thinning hair.
If you want to make your own decision, you can do exactly what we did. Demand studies. Published studies that have been peer reviewed and are in recognizable journal publications. Chances are, 99% of products wont be able to provide such studies, and if they can, they're most likely going to give you Rogaine studies because they're just remixing Rogaine and selling it at a huge markup. You can easily outfox the scam artists out there by requiring clinical study data.
Many agents grow some hair in certain people. The question is whether or not a given treatment will grow a significant amount of hair in a significant percentage of people. Personal experimentation will provide the only sure answer for any given individual. On the other hand, there clearly are "snake oil" treatments that only make the seller's bank account grow, so be wary.
